Providing temporary and long-term food, clothing, and shelter has been the foundation of Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes for over a century. Our team of caring, professional social workers, counselors, houseparents, and foster parents form the strong structure of support needed to help children deal with complex life issues.

Foster care upbringing inspires Mobile, AL woman’s volunteerism
Groups from churches in and near Mobile, Alabama, have discovered that one great way to warm the hearts of the children and houseparents at the Mobile campus of Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes is to satisfy their taste buds.  One of the congregations frequently feeding the children and adults and helping them in other ways is from Covenant Church of Mobile. Theresa Gunter’s leadership in the Covenant group grew out of her fond memories of her upbringing in foster care.
