A virus of youth violence is spreading. How will your church and community respond?
Seeking to nurture and restore lives of children, youth, and families, the professionals at Alabama Baptist Children's Homes & Family Ministries are available to lead educational seminars to:
- equip church leaders, community leaders, youth workers, and parents to help
prevent youth violence among their teens.
- teach participants how to teach teens to resolve conflict constructively.
- educate participants about the root cause of youth violence.
- equip participants to respond constructively to trends as they are recognized in their youth groups.
Each fast-paced seminar is led by Children's Homes professionals with extensive experience in working with youth from social service, counseling and law enforcement perspectives. Each seminar:
- is conducted at no cost to the host church, association, or other group.
- incorporates discussion, case studies, and multi-media.
- is designed to last two to three hours.
- can be conducted day or night.
- is designed for groups of at least 20 participants.
- participant is given a resource packet with seminar outline, suggested
references, and other materials.
For maximum effectiveness, each seminar is conducted in a classroom setting with tables or desks. Church fellowship halls are suitable. Host church, association, or other group should provide refreshments for a break during each seminar. Services and programs of Alabama Baptist Children's Homes & Family Ministries are made possible by financial gifts from individuals, groups, churches, and businesses.
At no cost to you and your groups, Alabama Baptist Children's Homes & Family Ministries professionals are available to lead family training workshops on a variety of other topics, including financial strewardship, marital enrichment, effective parenting, and protecting churches and communities against child sexual abuse.
